Arvind Narula is a social entrepreneur, investor, and Chairman & Founder of the Urmatt Group, a pioneering agribusiness enterprise focused on sustainable agriculture, zero-waste systems, and rural development across Asia and beyond. With more than three decades of experience, he has been instrumental in building one of the world’s most successful contract farming models, supporting thousands of farming families while creating globally competitive organic products.
Under his leadership, Urmatt Group has developed large-scale organic operations across Thailand, Argentina, Myanmar, and Laos, including the largest organic crop initiatives and organic egg brand in Thailand. The group’s ventures emphasize science-based innovation, environmental stewardship, and improving livelihoods for smallholder farmers.
Arvind has also advised agricultural and development projects in multiple regions, including Africa, South America, and Asia, and has founded food businesses in Europe and Southeast Asia. His work demonstrates how sustainable agriculture can generate both economic value and social impact at scale.
A former member of the international board of the Young Presidents' Organization, he has played an active role in global business leadership networks. Multilingual and internationally educated, Arvind studied economics in Heidelberg and Paris and at the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University.
