The YPS Primer aims to establish a common base of understanding and approach for the UN system and partners in implementing the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda. It is meant to inform, in broad terms, the programmes and actions of all UN entities working with and for youth in peace and security.

Course Contents
The Primer features three foundational learning modules set out to provide practitioners with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the implementation of the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda – while working with and for young people in peace and security.
The three learning modules cover foundational YPS topics:
- An Introduction to the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda
- Enabling Meaningful Youth Participation
- Conducting Youth-Sensitive Conflict Analysis.

The YPS Primer is open online resource available to all practitioners.
