I think the easiest way for MRANTI to implement ESG practices is by focusing on all three aspects. And I've seen several transitions that MRANTI is progressively working on:

1. Environment - Installation of solar panels on office rooftops towards fulfilling the 'Green Building' initiative

2. Social - Establishing a hybrid culture: 5 working days with a balance of WFH / WFO. i.e. some departments implementing 3 days WFO, 2 WFH

3. Governance - Enhance transparency and make information available for all levels

Mind you that the current activities/initiatives MRANTI has/is embarking are on piece meal basis. No proper follow through, proper planning, target and vision.

Hence, we are embarking into sustainability practices by first establishing the fundamentals (i.e. framework, action plans).

Thank you for the replies.

Chiming in Khadijah and Shafiq, one of the easiest way of monitoring an implementation of ESG by establishing an ESG roadmap that clearly stated eSG goals, methodology, KPI and timeline.

One of my favourite ESG Roadmap is this one made by stahl.com https://www.stahl.com/storage/app/uploads/public/images/stahls-esg-roadmap-to-2030-v1-2.pdf

MRANTI (Malaysian Research Accelerator for National Technology and Innovation) is a government initiative in Malaysia that focuses on fostering research, technology, and innovation to drive national economic development. As part of its commitment to sustainable growth, MRANTI integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its operations and initiatives. By promoting responsible innovation and technology that aligns with ESG standards, MRANTI supports businesses and startups in adopting sustainable practices, reducing their environmental impact, and ensuring ethical governance.

In line with ESG, MRANTI encourages companies to innovate with a focus on environmental sustainability, such as developing green technologies and promoting energy efficiency. The social aspect is addressed by fostering inclusive innovation, supporting diverse talent, and ensuring community benefits. Governance is prioritized through ethical leadership, transparent decision-making, and promoting responsible business practices within the innovation ecosystem.

By promoting ESG standards, MRANTI helps create a robust innovation ecosystem that not only drives technological advancements but also ensures these innovations contribute positively to the environment, society, and the economy, aligning with the broader goals of sustainability and responsible growth.
