To me, it's less about "reporting" and more about reckoning. It's the market—and increasingly, society—demanding an answer to a simple, brutal question: "What is this company for beyond profit?" Investors aren't just looking at risk mitigation anymore; they're sensing that a company's long-term survival is tied to its social license to operate. Customers, especially younger ones, vote with their wallets for alignment with their values. Employees want to work for places where we don't have to check their ethics at the door.

You’ve raised a powerful point. ESG reporting is no longer just about compliance, but about demonstrating purpose and credibility. Stakeholders today expect companies to show how they create value responsibly, not just financially. Strong ESG reporting helps build that trust, strengthens social licence to operate, and signals long-term resilience. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective.

I strongly agree that ESG reporting is very important to organizations because Investors trust companies more when they clearly show how they care for the environment, people, and how they are governed. This makes it easier to attract funding.
ESG reporting also helps companies manage risks better, by identifying issues like pollution, workplace safety, or poor leadership before they become big problems.

Thank you, Shallom Aina. You’ve highlighted some important benefits of ESG reporting. Clear disclosure can indeed strengthen investor trust and help organisations manage risks before they escalate. It’s also a useful framework for guiding long-term strategy and accountability. Considering both opportunities and challenges can help companies make reporting more meaningful and impactful.

You’ve highlighted two key strengths of ESG reporting: building investor trust and improving risk management. Clear, honest disclosure helps organisations stay ahead of issues and demonstrate responsible practices, which is increasingly important in today’s market.

Virendra, I agree....ESG reporting is a necessity. At the same time, compliance still matters because it ensures credibility. The real strength is when reporting is embedded into daily operations so it guides decisions and delivers solutions that society can trust.
